Are You Full Yet?
This multimedia installation depicts a hearty, decadent dinner banquet consisting of a full rack and rump for one. This work actively confronts viewers on their consumption and perception of meat products, illustrating how a meal would look coming from human, female animals who aren’t far off from their nonhuman female counterparts – suffering in steel cages within factory farms.
The aim of this work is to highlight the dismemberment of the female form within media and society that has only placed value on certain portions of her body to objectify and exploit as the consumer pleases. Relating back to the exploited dairy cow who has been forced past her limit in dairy production, soon to be dismembered on the butcher’s table and served hot on your dinner table. She is yours for the taking, yours to enjoy.
Are you full yet? Have you had enough? When will it be enough? To give a piece of yourself to someone, only for him to demand more, and more, and more, till there is nothing left.
